We’ve all seen the hashtag #strongisbeautiful all over social media, but strength really is beautiful! To me, strength isn’t just in your biceps, it’s mostly in your noggin! Strength is in the courage you have for standing up for yourself; strength is that time you stood up for someone else who was being mistreated; strength is when women uplift each other instead of beating each other down; strength is asking for that raise; strength is in setting goals and then hitting them… I try to find strength within for everything I do, from lifting weights in the gym to running a 500-member association.
As a self-proclaimed strong, independent woman, I live and breathe uplifting others around me, especially other women. So when I stumbled on a women’s athletic apparel brand that sang my mission, I jumped at the opportunity to learn more. The company is called JustStrong, and they sell activewear dedicated to empowering and motivating strong women. What I love most about this brand is that it’s for REAL WOMEN, all types of women, all sizes, shapes, colors and beliefs. After learning about their mission, I had to see if their clothes matched up! Phew, they did! Funny story, I’ve literally been looking for a lime green sports bra for probably two years. Something that wasn’t a $70 designer brand that would fall apart or get stinky the second I started sweating. Then I went to look for workout pants. I have about a hundred pairs already, but joggers are something I haven’t been able to find that I love, comfy to hang around in, look decent enough to run errands in and flexible enough to workout in. I have a small bubble booty and I’m petite, so every pair I tried was huge in the crotch and flattened out my back side. I found an XS pair of JustStrong Joggers, and when they came in, they were the perfect fit. It’s hard to find the right thing for all body types, but so far I’ve found that JustStrong keeps real women in mind with their quality, sizes and pricing. It’s a great quality product that I’m excited to sport!
